Importance of Obedience أهمية الطاعة

BISMILLAHIR RAHMANIR RAHEEM
In the name of Allah the Beneficient the Merciful

Allah (SWT) says in Suratul Luqman (Q31 : 14)

"And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. his mother bore him weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years. Give thanks to me and to your parents. Unto Me is the final destination."

And He (Allah) also Repeat in Suratul Isra'i  (Q17 : 23) that:

"Thy Lord (Allah) has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to your parents. Whether one or both of them attain old in thy life, say not to them a word of Contempt, nor repe! them but address them, in terms of honour."

Allah Repeat this content in various Aayah (Chapter) and Surah of the Holy Qur'an...

Once upon a time, There was a man called "Yazeed Bastaamiy (R.A)," He thought of travelling to a town called Bagdad, searching for knowledge in order to follow the saying of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) in which He (The Prophet Muhammad said:

"Seeking for knowledge is compulsory on Every Muslim and Muslimah"

He therefore went to inform his mother about his decision. His mother was so happy with his initiative to seek knowledge, she gave him Forty Dinaar being his share of inheritance from his late father and she instructed:

"Put your hand on my hand and promise me not tell lies but the truth always". And he put his hand over his mother's hand, and promised her to speak the truth always.

The next day, he carried his luggage and left for Bagdad in seeking for knowledge. On the way he met  thieves who stopped him and his fellow travellers. They asked everyone for their belongings and collected all, including Yazeed's bags, and he told them that he had Forty Dinaar with him.

The thieves Reply:
"After all we've collected your bags and you still said you have forty Dinaar with you". The thieves couldn't believe such, that anyone could say he had something else with him since they did not see it, they left and went into a cave where their boss was eagerly expecting their income returns; when they entered, he quickly inquired: "Did you rob and collect all their bags well?"

"Yes we did so but there was a man that said he has forty Dinaar with him, we think he's mad" replied the thieves .
The boss instructed his gang: "Go and bring him down here for me to see" In no time Yazeed was brought to him.

The boss asked " what do you have with you Ogbeni (guy) apart from your bags they have collected?"

He replied:

"I have forty Dinaar", he brought it out for them to see, they were all surprised and shocked.

They asked Yazeed:

" Where did you get this huge amount of money as small as you are?" and what give you the confidence not to lie for us?"

He replied:

"This money was given to me by my Mother from the inheritance of my late father  to travel to Bagdad in searching for knowledge, and I had promised my mother not to lie to anyone but to the truth in any circumstance I found myself in life."

The boss remarked:
"Wow! You said the truth just because of the fear of Allah (God) to fulfill your mother's oath but we don't fear almighty Allah, Allah has forbidden stealing and make lying Haram but yet we stael and lie always, only because we don't have the fear of Allah's oath".

With this, the thieves feel bad, sad and so sorry for their actions, thus: the boss gave order to his fellow members in crime to return the bags and belongings to their various owners.

Immediately, after bags were returned to the owners, The boss and his gangs repented singing:

"ASTAGFIRULLAHA MIN DHUNUBIY  # ASTAGFIRULLAHA MIN UYUBIY"

And seeking for forgiveness from people and almighty Allah with their eyes filled with tears and mind filled with sorrow.

Yazeed has acted has acted exactly the way the Last but the Leaders of all Prophets and Mankinds had ordered Every living beings should always act or behave.

"He (S.A.W) said: in a Tradition (Hadith) that

" Say the Truth, even if it's against you"
He (S.A.W) also says:
"Say the Truth even if it is bitter"

We pray may the peace and unstoppable blessings be upon Our Noble Saviour Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), His Househood, Companions, and Successor till the Day of Eternity. Amin...
